Ledis FPGA Evaluation Kit helps simplify PCI design

Ledis Semiconductor (Lattice) has released two LatticeEC FPGA evaluation Suite - the standard assessment platform and advanced evaluation platform. These two packages provide system level logic, storage and PCI, DDR, FCRAM and SPI4.2 standard support options. Each package has a FPGA PCB board, including the prototype modeling area, power conditioning and interface connection terminals.

The standard edition package includes: optional LFEC6E-4F484C (6K LUT) or LFEC20E-4F484C (20k LUT); used to configure the SPI flash; for the SMA pin high speed signal / clock; prototype modeling; board power control and monitoring for LED. A set of PCI IP core bit stream files for this circuit board are available for free download from the Lattice website.

Advanced suite includes: LFEC20E-5F672C devices, DDR memory interface, SPI4.2 connector, PCI interface and FCRAM on board and standard peripherals. The company is expected to be completed by the end of 2004 with the evaluation board compatible PCI, FCRAM, DDR and SPI4.2 IP kernel.
