Lenovo Yang Yuanqing: into the world's top 500 is not the sole goal of M & A

- Yang Yuanqing: in fact, among the world's top 500 is not the only purpose of our acquisition of IBMPC business. Our most important goal is to break through the ceiling of growth, and to lead the development of the global PC industry with first-class competitiveness, to create maximum value for customers, shareholders, partners and employees.

Standing on the new platform, I think we need to seriously consider how to operate a truly global multinational companies, specific said, that is how to ensure that such a scale still has first-class efficiency and profitability. Therefore, internationalization is not our destination, but a new starting point.

In the "letter": and some Korea Companies have the headquarters to Chinese transfer, Lenovo headquarters in the United States, how to understand this change seems to have bucked the trend?

- Yang Yuanqing: after the transaction we publish, we may think that we choose IBM executives, foreigners do CEO, choose to put the headquarters in New York is negotiating a compromise, but in fact it is made almost when we start the negotiations at the same time choice, in order to make the company operation and management of the real realize the internationalization.

Another thing that is almost at the same time a decision to start negotiations, is the introduction of international strategic investors. March 31st, we announced the world's three largest Private Equity Firm (TPG, GA, NB) investment, but the results of this strategic design. The purpose is not to ask for money, but we hope to achieve the internationalization of corporate governance in this way. We not only have a more international board of directors, and the board has brought more international strategic management, integrated management capabilities.

Lenovo is an excellent enterprise originated in china. In China, we have a footprint, but also a strong backing for our international market. Therefore, the Chinese market has been valued by the association and attaches great importance to the strategic market.

On the other hand, we want to create a Lenovo from China, in line with the rules of the international operation of multinational enterprises. This not only need to have the world first-class technology innovation ability and product quality, has worldwide marketing network and influential brand, at the same time, but also the pursuit of the internationalization of corporate governance, management system and enterprise culture. This is also an important reason for our headquarters in the United states.

Yang Yuanqing: I think Beijing is the most worthy of the entrepreneur is: first-class human resources, technology and the world synchronized, developed information, efficient government and park services. Compared with the past, now Beijing's investment environment more open, more international, not only help more multinational enterprises to invest in Beijing to create favorable conditions, Lenovo also local enterprises to go overseas to provide convenience. Beijing is the home of Lenovo, Lenovo will also be Chinese business headquarters, Lenovo Chinese is the very important part of the new Lenovo, is China business operations center, global R & D management center and global sourcing center.
