Lenovo introduced two executives designed to drive growth in Asia Pacific

August 17, 2006, Lenovo Lenovo announced today that the Asia Pacific management team has added two new senior managers.

David D. Mr. Miller, aged 42, with immediate effect as associate president of the Asia Pacific region, senior vice president of Lenovo group. He will be responsible for all consumer - oriented businesses in the Asia Pacific region, including sales, marketing, operations, and support. David D. Mr. Miller will work in Singapore, directly to Lenovo Group CEO William J. Amelio report.

"I'm very happy about the arrival of Mr. Miller." Mr. Amelio said, "he is a passionate and pragmatic leader, has a very rich experience in sales channel strategy and operations in the Asia Pacific region, and the market, which will become a valuable asset group. David D. Miller previously served as president of DELL china. He also served as head of DELL australia. Prior to joining DELL in 2000, he worked at Wyle Electronics until he became Vice President of sales.

Mr. Sotaro Amano, aged 38, was appointed president of Lenovo Japan, and will take office in September 1, 2006. He will report directly to Lenovo Asia Pacific new president David D. Miller. Previously, Mr. Amano served as DELL's household and commercial sales director and executive director of DELL Miyazaki customer service center. He also worked in DELL's sales, marketing and service sectors. He will work in Tokyo, japan.

David D. Mr. Miller will take over the position of Mr. Ravi (64 years old), and Sotaro Mr. Amano took over Hiroyuki Mukai (now aged 54) positions. Before accepting the new position, Mr. Marwaha and Mr. Mukai will work closely with their successors to ensure a smooth transition.

Mr Amelio said: "Mr Marwaha and Mr Mukai will not only continue to play their role in stimulating and guiding the development of Asia Pacific and Japan in the future. At the same time we welcome our new colleagues to join us, we believe that Mr. Marwaha and Mr. Mukai will continue to contribute their strength."
