Letter launched 5.5 volt constant current LED driver

MAX6968 serial interface LED driver provides 8 open drain, constant current, rated output driver LED 5.5V absorption. MAX6968 uses 3V to 5.5V power supply. MAX6968 and LED power supply can be in any order. All constant current output is set by an external resistor, the maximum 55mA. MAX6968 using 25Mb, industrial standard 4 wire serial port control.

Shift register and latches in the form of serial MAX6968 uses industry standard. Data is shifted into the 8 bit shift register of the driver by data input DIN and clock input CLK. After the 8 clock cycle, the input data appears on the output DOUT, this mode can achieve multiple MAX6968 cascade. The latch enable input LE puts the 8 bit data of the shift register into the 8 bit output latch to determine the LED switch. The output enable input /OE controls all 8 output switches, and its fast response characteristics are suitable for controlling the PWM input of the LED brightness.

MAX6968 series shift register latches in the form of a total of 12 LED drive model. The series includes 8 ports and 16 ports of two types, with 5.5V or 36V rated LED output, some models with LED open circuit detection and watchdog function.
