Linear 2A/36V buck switching regulator LT1912

Linear Technology Corporation (Linear Technology Corporation) launched 2A, 36V step-down switching regulator LT1912, the device uses 3mm * 3mm DFN (or MSOP-10E) package. The 3.6V to 36V input voltage range of the LT1912 makes it very suitable for automotive applications where load dump and cold car launch conditions. The 3.2A internal switch provides up to 2A of continuous output current at voltages as low as 0.79V. Switching frequencies in the 200kHz to 500kHz range are user programmable, optimized for efficiency while allowing the use of small external components. 3mm * 3mm DFN-10 package (or thermally enhanced MSOP-10E) can high efficiency extremely compact footprint solution and external components slim.

LT1912 uses the high efficiency 3.2A, 0.25 switch, the chip integrates the necessary booster diode, oscillator, control and logic circuit. The special design method and the new high voltage process achieve high efficiency in a wide input voltage range, while the LT1912 current mode topology also achieves fast transient response and excellent loop stability. Other features include external synchronization (250kHz to 500kHz), power good flag and soft start function.
