Linear Technology Corporation (Linear Technology Corporation) launched the LT3518 H version. LT3518 is a 45V, high side current sensing DC/DC converter designed to drive high current LED with constant current. The LT3518 has a 3V to 30V input range and a transient protection voltage up to 40V, making the device ideal for a wide variety of applications, including automotive, industrial and architectural lighting.

The H version can be compared to the junction temperature, up to 150 C or under the maximum junction temperature of E and I were 125 or C version. E, I and H versions of all electrical performance specifications are the same. H version of the device tested and guaranteed to 150 or C maximum junction temperature. They are very suitable for automotive and industrial applications, which are often subject to high ambient temperature.

LT3518 can drive up to 8 300mA white LED with nominal 12V input, which is very suitable for automotive display backlighting applications. LT3518 in the high voltage side of the LED output current detection, can achieve buck, buck - boost or boost configuration. It uses 4mm x 4mm QFN package, the boost mode can provide up to 90% efficiency. LT3518 True Color PWM light, LED can provide a constant color in the dimming range up to 3000:1. For less demanding dimming requirements, the CNTRL pin can be used to provide analog dimming of the 10:1. The fixed frequency, current mode architecture ensures stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. The frequency regulation pin allows the user to set the frequency in the range of 250kHz to 2.5MHz to optimize the efficiency while minimizing the size of the external components.
