METI will focus on supporting 20 energy technology

METI announced, has selected 20 can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions of innovations, and its key support.

The 20 are from the "'Cool Earth" technology innovation energy plan meeting of experts "(METI convened from 07 August) in the selected core proposal summary. The goal of the conference is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) to the current 1/2 by 2050.

The 20 selected technologies are as follows:

(4) advanced nuclear power, (5) the use of efficient power transmission of superconductivity, (6) the advanced traffic system, fuel cell vehicles (7), (8) plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, (9) the use of biomass (Biomass) alternative fuels for transport, (10) new materials, leather production and processing technology, (11) innovative iron making process, (12) the type of residential building energy conservation, (13) a new generation of efficient lighting: about 150lm/W, LED lighting, EL lighting and the use of organic technology etc.. (14) stationary fuel cell, ultra efficient heat pumps (15), (16) energy saving equipment and information systems, (17) energy management system of family, buildings and a certain geographical area in the safe solar power generation system will be easily affected by the weather in the original power network technology etc.. (18) high performance power storage, (19) power electronics technology, (20) production, transportation and storage of hydrogen.

Support will be discussed specifically for technical projects
