Monmouth county government approved a LED traffic lighting improvement works, and received from the Illinois Association of clean energy fund of US $10955.
The aim of the project is to convert the existing incandescent lamp into a light emitting diode module at the 8 traffic lights in the city, saving the city for about $14560 over the next 6 years. The light emitting diode module can easily replace the existing traffic lights to avoid any additional upgrade costs.
In addition to energy saving, the light emitting diode module has a minimum lifetime of 6 years, and has high brightness and high resolution. The project will start next month.
