More simplified than the PHILPS HUE? The smart bulb where strong

According to the Tencent technology report, a name of the intelligent network launched startup bulb day before Qube, compared with the same type of products on the market, it has a small advantage in price and terms of simplicity.

According to reports, Qube smart light bulb can display 16 million colors, brightness of 800 lumens, equivalent to 60W bulbs, and can be used directly in the existing E26/E27 screw. Unlike PHILPS, Hue and other similar products, the Qute can work without the need to control the central device. Each Qube can be connected to the Wi-Fi independently and communicate directly with the router in the user's home. At the same time, Qube's built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antenna also implements communication and movement synchronization between the bulbs.

Qube supporting applications support IFTTT and other control platforms, so in theory, Qube can work with other appliances and applications. For example, weather applications can trigger changes in lighting according to weather forecasts.

Qube is currently Indiegogo all chips, the price of 16 U.S. dollars (about 102 yuan), is expected to ship in April next year.

If Qube can be successfully launched, it will cost about $19 - much cheaper than the multi colored bulbs of companies like PHILPS and OSRAM, which sell for about $59.99.

Qube said the company intends to lower its profit margins, hoping to better penetrate the market.

PHILPS Hue is probably the most famous smart networked light bulb in the world today, and OSRAM and Ge have launched similar products. The industry has also seen new faces this year, including LED, the maker of CREE bulbs, which began producing intelligent networked bulbs since January.

Astro, the start-up company, launched a smart light bulb called Twist in June. The company has incorporated audio playback capabilities that fit Apple's AirPlay system into its products, hoping to stand out.

Cree, OSRAM and PHILPS and other smart light brands can be compatible with Wink, Hub and other smart home platform, the platform also supports Nest thermostats and digital locks and other networking devices.

But Qube said that in order to simplify the operation process, the company's light bulb does not support these smart home platform. They said: "unlike other bulbs that require a hub platform to function properly, each Qube has its own Wi-Fi connection, so it can exchange data directly with the router."."

Qube bulbs are built with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas that can transmit data to each other to work together.

But Qube also said that mobile applications that support the company's light bulbs also support platforms such as IFTTT, so that in theory, the brightness of the bulbs can be associated with other home appliances or applications. For example, weather applications allow indoor light bulbs to adjust brightness according to weather forecasts.

Qube is Singapore's start-up company Innova Technology division business in the United States, the entire team of 9 people, they have worked together for two years.

Innova Technology, one of the best known is probably Protag Duet security products, the Bluetooth device can be used in intelligent mobile phone, mobile phone in a certain range from after the signal to remind users of mobile phone may be stolen.
