NXP two compact LED drivers for automotive LED lighting

In 2008 the EU has announced that since February 2011, new cars, small trucks are equipped with daytime running lights (DRL), other trucks, buses will also be equipped with in August 7, 2012, the EU's move will further accelerate the automotive LED market growth,. Audi's A8, R8 and A4 series are equipped with LED day light.

Industry statistics, the service life of the LED light source is the traditional 20 to 25 times, 10 times longer than the halogen lamp. Compared with the traditional light source, the same power LED output lumens than ordinary bulbs 3 to 4 times higher than the halogen lamp high to 3 times. In the future, NXP plans to integrate the power switch, the integrated bus interface (CANLIN interface), and the multi-channel driver to drive the light group to form the speed of light.
