Nichia in South Korea to sue Seoul semiconductor

Nichia (Nichia) announced in September 2007 17 to the Seoul Central District Court (Seoul Central District Court) filed a lawsuit, claiming that Seoul semiconductor (Seoul Semiconductor, SSC) on the surface of a light white LED products (No. TWH104-HS) in South Korea's infringement of its patent (Patent No. 406201), requires the SSC to before the tort compensation, and seek an injunction to prevent the infringement.

Except in South Korea's lawsuit, Nichia and SSC in the United States (patent design of side light type white light) and Japan (SSC and Kyoei Sangyo accused the Nichia distributors violated its LED patent pending litigation and lighting), Nichia asked the infringing party for the tort compensation and seek a court injunction to avoid future infringement.
