"Non-toxic" LCD glass substrate Corelle said a major breakthrough

As the world's largest supplier of LCD, glass display and television, glass manufacturing giant Corning (Corelle) company said, researchers have produced a different from the LCD glass substrate. It is not a heavy metal substances, the human body and the surrounding environment will not cause great harm. This news is a major breakthrough for LCD TV manufacturers

Corelle said that they are using a Eagle XG technology, used to make the display of the glass substrate, which does not contain heavy metals. As we all know, the composition of the display contains antimony, arsenic and barium and other harmful substances. Thus, the human body and the surrounding environment will emit harmful radiation. Corelle has developed the glass to replace the heavy metals with fluorine and chlorine, thereby reducing the harm to the human body, and it is also conducive to the recycling of products. Their research and development projects have been fully supported by the semiconductor company.

The EU attaches great importance to this issue. In the next year, they say, there will be a new regulatory regime for toxic substances. This is a challenge to the display market or the TV market.
