OSRAM, Avago interactive licensing white LED patent

LED giant OSRAM (Osram) and Annwa (Avago) announced that the high-tech patent cross licensing in white LED, OSRAM will agree to the manufacture and sale of Avago white LED to the OSRAM patent, and Avago was awarded the OSRAM Avago patent, LED system manufacturing rights into the liquid crystal panel backlight use. In the past, Avago has released LED orders to Taiwan LED industry, through further access to OSRAM Avago white light LED authorization, estimates will be able to indirectly benefit Taiwan plant.

Industry said that due to the past Taiwan factory such as Acer Qi, East Bay and Avago have a cooperative relationship; and has achieved Avago SMD LED and packaging products OEM orders, Avago orders and accounted for nearly 50% of Hong Qi monthly shipments proportion, so the Avago can be more justifiably into the army the white LED market, is expected to follow the order of opportunity to Taiwan is quite large, so will make more benefit Taiwan factory. But for cooperation with the Avago, the macro Qi and Dong Bei are not willing to table views.
