OSRAM and TOYOTA signed a patent agreement

October 31, 2007, Japan TOYOTA (Toyoda Gosei) synthesis company with the German OSRAM (OSRAM) signed the mutual use of certain LED technology and laser technology agreement. This cooperation involves semiconductor lasers and blue, white, green LED based -InGaN technology. One of OSRAM based technologies mainly focus on LED and semiconductor laser in industrial production, and TOYOTA (1991 in the world for the first time to develop a blu ray LED) has protected blue LED related knowledge. The agreement will allow both parties to develop and sell new products more easily without fear of patent infringement. Most importantly, the two parties expect to achieve rapid and significant performance improvements in LED light intensity. OSRAM said the signing of an agreement with TOYOTA to market and customers are good, is to respect and protect the intellectual property rights of other companies an excellent example. Cooperation between the two sides will contribute to the promotion of LED technology, so that the emerging LED market in the healthy development of the principle of fair competition.
