OSRAM launches a CSP LED prototype, high-throughput density positioning retail lighting

At the 2018 Frankfurt lighting exhibition in Germany, OSRAM optoelectronics Semiconductor Co., Ltd. launched the prototype of Oslon Pure 1010 LED, which is positioned as a spotlight for retail lighting. The scalability of chip scale package (CSP) LED enables it to flexibly integrate various lighting solutions.

OSRAM said that the typical luminous flux of Oslon Pure 1010 LED is 100lm, the driving current is 350mA, the color temperature is 3000K, almost perfectly follows Lambert's law, and the flux density reaches 237lm/mm2 when 1000mA current works. For the same element size, the brightness of the prototype is much higher, especially for lighting retail stores.

Compact 1.0mm x 1.0mm x 0.25mm size, no main lens, Oslon Pure 1010 provides high flexibility for lighting designers. Because of the CSP encapsulation, the height is reduced. The luminous surface is not contacted in the usual way, but is contacted inside the component itself, and does not need to engage the thread. These characteristics, together with the small size, can make many LED very close in narrow space. Warm white and cold white LED can be used together, so you can tailor the number and arrangement of individual LED and the relative proportion of warm white and cold white LED according to specific customer requirements.

If applied to a highly concentrated spotlight, it is possible to simply add two suitable optical elements. Due to the compact size and directional luminescence of Oslon Pure, the two optical element can also be very small, which means that the whole solution can save more space and cost.

The prototype on display at the exhibition is CRI-80 version, which was first launched in May. The CRI-90 version is on sale this fall. (Editor: LED net James)
