OSRAM released a new white car LED

Germany OSRAM semiconductor company (OSRAM Opto Semiconductors light GmbH) for vehicle and camera flash and other purposes, developed a higher luminous efficiency of the "Dragon (Golden DRAGON)" series of white light emitting diode (LED) new product LWW5SM". The company's old product "LWW5SG" for 21lm/W, and the LWW5SM is 40lm/W. The overall size is 6mm * 11mm * 1.8mm, very thin. The positive voltage is lower than LWW5SG 3.8V 3.2V.

The current driver for 500mA light is 64lW. When the pulse is driven, the current can be up to 2A. When the driving current is 250mA at room temperature, the lifetime of the brightness decay is more than 50 thousand hours. As the maximum allowable welding temperature, DC and pulse conditions are +125 and +150. Each package is equipped with 1 1mm square blue LED chip, combined with the formation of white phosphor. Samples are now available for production in the first quarter of 2006.
