OSRAM will launch OLED lighting products within three or four years

OSRAM GmbH (OSRAM) on the company's future LED and OLED lighting and other lighting technology business plan held a news conference.

Conference, the company announced: (1) LED luminous efficiency will reach more than 150lm/W in 2010, and began to expand the general lighting; (2) the use of OLED lighting products will be put into operation from 2011 to 2012. But where to set up OLED lighting products production plant has not yet decided.

OSRAM talked about the current OSRAM OLED lighting technology, said the luminous efficiency has reached 50lm/W, and the ability to compete with fluorescent lamps, depending on how much the cost can be reduced to. Instead of simply targeting fluorescent lamps, it may be better to look for new uses.

OLED lighting products include: thin, transparent, is expected to achieve high brightness, flexibility, high luminous efficiency.
