Organic EL panel white backlight TOYOTA automatic loom 06 spring production

TOYOTA automatic loom production will start using organic EL liquid crystal panel manufactured white backlight in the spring of 2006. It was announced at the CEATEC meeting. At present, the company is located in the city of Aichi Prefecture, the factory production line.

The company's organic EL panel for white back light is 0.44 inches, 1.5 inches and 2.5 inches (Figure 3) (Figure 1). The drive voltage is 4V ~ + 5V, the initial brightness of 4000cd/m2, luminous efficiency of more than 10lm/W. Its characteristics are: RGB three color light to achieve white light. "Other companies are also made of organic EL panels are made of two color" (TOYOTA automatic loom). In addition, the use of glass sealing film to protect organic EL is the company's first.

Imagine the use of digital cameras and digital cameras are mainly liquid crystal panel. However, for mobile phones, the life of the panel is not long enough". The first half of the brightness of the phone needs to be at least 10 thousand hours or so, but the company's organic EL panel is only about 5000 hours. Digital cameras and mobile phones compared to the average daily use of much less time, 5000 hours is enough.

Relative to the current use of white backlight LED, the company's organic EL panel has the advantages of: (1) the panel is thin, (2) high color performance, etc.. According to the company, due to the formation of white LED blue LED based, so a little worse in terms of red performance.
