Osaka, a building using SHARP LED thin-film solar energy storage luminous board

In March 28, 2008, Sharp Corp. announced that the thin film solar cell wall "will be the development of the building in the city of Osaka central Yodoyabashi corner gallery and part of the configuration built in LED Lumiwall (daytime power night luminous glass)". Sharp pointed out that the development of Yodoyabashi building is 16 storey building, total use of solar cells in the building is 20.8kW.

It is reported that the Sharp developed by the Lumiwall is a day in which the absorption of solar energy into electricity stored up, one night on the storage of electricity to illuminate the built-in LED device. Sharp said, Lumiwall using Sharp specific technology development "transparent crystal film series wafer (see-through tandem cELl)", the output can be increased by 50% (the maximum output of 35W), and using a fluorescent lamp or incandescent bulbs more low power consumption and high brightness white LED lamp longevity.
