PHILPS adds new members. IOS uses "Siri" to operate lighting.

PHILPS lighting Japan released the new product of "PhilipsHue" series LED lighting in April 5, 2016 and began selling. The characteristic of this series is the integration of IoT (Internet of things) concept in lighting.

The new product added is that iOS can be operated with Siri, and it also supports the intelligent family standard "AppleHomeKit" provided by Apple Corp. The new product is linked with the surrounding electronic products through AppleHomeKit, and the color and brightness of the lighting can be adjusted according to the indoor conditions. "In the future, we can also use temperature sensors to make cool colors in hot weather" (Kubo Tokuji, marketing director of PHILPS lighting Japan).

The dialogue with "Siri" gives the voice of "turning the lamp red" and the color of illumination changes.
