PHILPS and DELL terminated a $700 million computer maintenance contracts

According to foreign media reports, PHILPS announced on Monday that the company has signed with DELL revoked the company's computer maintenance contract, the original contract is valid for 5 years, the estimated value of $700 million.

PHILPS spokesman said, both sides believe that the current form of contract can not guarantee the success of the project."

It is reported that PHILPS and DELL signed the contract in December 2004, the main content is DELL is responsible for the maintenance of PHILPS 75 thousand computers in 60 countries.

As a subcontractor for DELL, Holland computer services company Getronics is the biggest damage to the contract revocation, but the company refused to disclose the loss to the media. PHILPS said that after the maintenance work to stop DELL, PHILPS computer maintenance work will be decided by their own bodies.
