Push the monolithic full-color Micro LED matrix, and Plessey chooses the silicon backplane.

It is reported that price will use the lotus photoelectric Micro LED device specially customized eSP70 silicon backplane, the point spacing is 8 m, the resolution is 1920x1080. The backplane provides excellent current uniformity through proprietary current source pixels and flexible positioning.

Price said that the eSP70 silicon backplane will help to flexibly use the Micro LED silicon nitride platform, that is, moderate power consumption can achieve high brightness or low power consumption to achieve daylight brightness.

Keith Strickland, chief technology officer of Primus, said that the Micro LED special silicon backplane using lotus and optoelectronics, the company's entry-level 8 m m monolithic full-color Micro LED matrix will soon be on the market. Regarding the accurate alignment and adhesion of Micro LED array and backplane, price has overcome this important challenge.
