Silicone and silicon technology leader Dow Corning (Dow Corning) launched a new coating type thermal pad used in LED lighting products, thermal management to achieve more cost-effective.
Dow Corning industry director Hugo Silva (Hugo Da Silva) said, compared with the traditional heat welding materials, new hot pad can provide better flexibility and reduce the processing cost of design and manufacturing.

According to reports, the new material will allow the conductivity of silicon compounds fast and accurate LED lamps and lighting device manufacturers printed with controllable thickness on the substrate in the complicated shape, and can ensure the excellent thermal management properties and help reduce manufacturing costs. Dow Corning launched a new product line includes 4 levels, distinguished by controllable / uncontrollable different thermal conductive adhesive layer thickness. Among them, TC-4015 and TC-4016 coated heat pad provides thermal conductivity of 1.5W/mK, TC-4025 and TC-4026 provide the thermal conductivity of 2.5W/mK, and TC-4016 and TC-4026 two levels are integrated to improve the adhesive layer thickness control of glass beads.

Dow Corning said the series of new products and aluminum, printed circuit board and bonding effect between good substrates for general lighting. And eliminates the need for traditional glass fiber plate welding pad, excellent heat resistance, this new solution can provide a lower compression ratio and LED lamps or lighting device using period always reliable thermal management performance.
