SDK launched using gallium nitride near ultraviolet and green LED chip

Showa Denko K.K. (SDK) introduced the use of gallium nitride near ultraviolet and green LED chip, can be used for white light and large backlight LCD screen. This is based on the use of GaN near ultraviolet LED phosphor, white lighting can be achieved. The current blue LED and yellow phosphorus can be used in the phone's LCD white backlight. However, because of the small red / green components, the existing white lighting is insufficient to be used in general lighting occasions.

The newly developed near UV LED has three main colors of mixed phosphorus (red, green and blue), its color rendering is high, can be used for general lighting occasions.

The gallium nitride green LED has high brightness and high reliability. One of the green LED face up structure, higher brightness than existing products, 505nm wavelength brightness of 6.5mW (400mcd), 525nm wavelength brightness of 6mW (500mcd). These pure green LED will use 555nm wavelength.
