SHARP and Hiroshima research laboratory developed LED moth bulb

[LED] China Vtion Sharp Co recently announced that Japan has with the Hiroshima County Center for Agricultural Technology Research Institute to develop LED drive moth lamp, in order to prevent the nocturnal pest damage crops, and reduce the impact of light on crops as far as possible.

Traditional moth repelling lamps use yellow lights to repel moths. However, the traditional mercury vapor lamp and fluorescent lamp must be able to work through the night, and does not apply to some light sensitive crops, such as strawberries and chrysanthemums, light is not conducive to the growth of such plants.

This new type of LED moth bulb combines the agricultural center's moth lighting technology and Sharp Co's LED design and manufacturing technology. It can effectively repel moths, and through the LED technology to minimize the adverse effects of light on plants.

Using LED as light source, not only prolong the service life of lamps and lanterns, reduce energy consumption, but also significantly improve the moth driving effect. In addition, the LED lamp can also greatly reduce the adverse effects of light on light sensitive plants, and is very suitable for pesticide free cultivation and light sensitive crops.

The bulb is expected to open in the spring of 2016 and began retail. (Chinese LED net Flora)
