SIA: global chip sales are expected to grow by 45% in 2008

Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said on Wednesday, due to strong demand for semiconductors using a portable music player, digital TV and mobile phone in 2008, the global chip sales will grow 45% compared to 2004.
