SMIC and Qualcomm signed a strategic agreement for Qualcomm integrated circuit

Qualcomm Corp announced and one of the world's chip foundry company in Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) signed a strategic agreement. SMIC will use specialized BiCMOS processing technology in its Tianjin factory to provide integrated circuit production services for Qualcomm Corp. This cooperation will be integrated SMIC chip manufacturing capacity as well as outsourcing capabilities and Qualcomm Corp leadership in the 3G wireless industry, the focus will be on the power management chip.
