STMicroelectronics STP16CPS05 high brightness LED driver support energy saving program

STMicroelectronics (ST) has recently launched a LED driver with automatic energy saving features STP16CPS05. It is an innovative product of the ST power logic family, which helps manufacturers to meet the energy efficiency requirements for industrial lighting, corporate signage and traffic applications, saving electricity 80% compared to existing solutions.

Compared with previous STP16Cx596 series power logic devices, the new constant current LED driver allows a single IC to turn off when no active input signal is detected. As a result, STP16CPS05 can save electricity without external intervention, and it is an ideal solution to encourage the global energy conservation plan to save electricity.

STP16CPS05 series power logic products have a clock data synchronization feature, when the LED driver series together, this feature is very useful. The IC has a total of 4 kinds of packaging, which is exposed to the TSSOP package thermal efficiency, excellent heat dissipation performance.

Operating temperature range -40 DEG C to +125 DEG C, power supply voltage 3.3V to 5V; output current adjustment range 5mA to 80mA, the new product is suitable for moderate intensity current and high precision LED control lighting applications.

STP16CPS05 has been put into production, ordering 100000 pieces, the product price is $0.80.
