South Korea LED Seoul leading semiconductor manufacturer (Seoul Semiconductor Co. Ltd) recently announced that the European TridonicAtco Optoelectronics GmbH with Seoul semiconductor (TOE) and its partners will use white LED phosphor silicate, reach a cross licensing agreement,

Phosphorus is an indispensable raw material for the production of white LED. More importantly, the use of LED (silicate system phosphors) white LED is widely mentioned in many patents, and with the use of other phosphorus compounds have a significant difference.

With the cross licensing agreement, Seoul semiconductor production and sale of the use of silicate phosphor white LED, expand and accelerate the relevant R & D strength, thereby enhancing the status of Seoul semiconductor industry.

Based on this agreement, the use of Silicate Phosphors Seoul semiconductor white LED patent and related agreements will be protected. Seoul semiconductor customers can use this white LED.

Seoul Semiconductor Co. Ltd. ("SSC") today announced that SSC has entered into a Cross License Agreement regarding white LEDs using silicate system phosphors with TridonicAtco Optoelectronics GmbH ("TOE") and its patent partners.

Phosphors are indispensable materials to manufacture white LEDs. Especially, white LEDs incorporating silicate system phosphors are covered by a wide variety of patents and are significantly different from conventional LEDs using other phosphors.

Under the Cross License Agreement, SSC is in a very strong position to manufacture and sell its own white LEDs using silicate system phosphors as well as expand and accelerate relevant R&D activities.

Based on this agreement, SSC's white using system can be by its and such license and thus SSC's customers will be able to patents enjoy using SSC's phosphors white LEDs silicate LEDs.
