Seoul semiconductor LED finalists United States Department of energy zero energy building research alliance project

In September 25, 2010, LED announced that the company's semiconductor suppliers in Seoul LED solution has been successfully applied to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory zero energy building project alliance (Oak Ridge National Laboratories ZEBRAlliance project). Through this project, Seoul semiconductor will show the public the advantages of LED lighting in home lighting applications, compared with the traditional incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs.

Seoul semiconductor has 5500 patents, including Acriche related technologies. Acriche technology can be connected with a plurality of light emitting elements in a single chip, and can be run in AC power and high voltage DC power supply, which greatly simplifies the design of LED, promote the development of LED TV backlight, solid-state lighting and many other applications.

The US Congress has said it will cut out incandescent bulbs by 2014, and European countries have taken steps to ban the sale of more than 100 watt incandescent bulbs last year.
