Semiconductor lighting is the second revolution of incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp. Semiconductor lighting industry development status and trends

Two, the main problems in the development of semiconductor lighting industry
Although China's semiconductor lighting industry has made positive progress, but also faces many problems to be solved.
(a) lack of patent and core technology. At present, the mainstream patents of semiconductor lighting are controlled by the developed countries, and the patent risk faced by the development of the enterprises is increasing. Core equipment MOCVD (metal organic chemical vapor deposition equipment) basic dependence on imports. Lack of R & D investment, lack of long-term mechanism to support the basic theoretical research, common technology research and development platform is not perfect, the key technology research and development has not formed a joint force.
(two) the overall level of the industry is low. China's semiconductor lighting production enterprises more than 3000, of which 70% concentrated in the downstream industry, and the technical level and product quality uneven. Domestic LED epitaxial materials, chips in the low - based, more than 80% of the power of LED chips, devices rely on imports. Small scale, low degree of concentration, product stereotypes, not conducive to the formation of competitive advantage and well-known brands.
(three) standards and testing systems have not been established. The development of test equipment, test methods and standards can not meet the requirements of rapid industrial development. The standard and testing system of semiconductor lighting products need to be improved, and the authoritative testing platform has not been established.
(four) the low level of blind investment.
