South Korea GALED using OSRAM Golden DRAGON Plus LED

OSRAM (Osram) Opto Semiconductor Company's products are favored by South Korean lighting manufacturer GALED, in its PRAUS street lamps using the OSRAM Golden DRAGON Plus LED. At present, the PRAUS street lamp prototype has been installed in a number of busy gold in South korea. The installation of these LED street lamps is a positive response to the call of the government of South korea.

Since the middle of 2008, South Korea has been installed in four locations by 80W/150W PRAUS Street prototype LED, to replace the original metal halogen lamp and sodium lamp, including the nearby Gangwon City Yuanzhou Town Hall Road, Yuanzhou Hanna university campus, Kwangju district government office building and Jecheon City Dayuan Science University campus. According to GALED estimates, after installing these LED street lights, an average annual savings of more than 55% of energy. With the Golden DRAGON Plus 6500K color temperature reached LED, the road lamp is able to optimize the color index (CRI) issued a higher quality: white index increased from 30 to 65, improve the visibility at night.

Golden DRAGON LED can provide full spectrum brightness, power consumption reduced by 80% compared with incandescent lamp, life can be up to 50000 hours.
