Suspected of manipulating the prices of SRAM chips Samsung Germany was the EU's check

San San - November 2nd news, the world's largest memory chip maker Samsung Electronics, said Samsung Electronics German branch was raided by the EU investigators to check its questionable handling of SRAM chips. According to Reuters, Samsung Electronics German branch spokesman said on Wednesday, we were in October 11th with our SRAM products related to the inspection. We will fully cooperate with the investigation.

The European Commission said on Tuesday that it had conducted a survey of a number of German companies suspected of manipulating the price of the SRAM chip market. However, the European Commission did not point out the names of these companies.

The United States antitrust authorities earlier this month conducted a similar survey. The survey involved Cypress semiconductors, Samsung Electronics, MITSUBISHI motors and SONY.

The European Commission's investigation of large companies usually takes a month, sometimes several years. If the enterprise is found to have committed a crime, the enterprise will be fined 10% of its income.

Unlike the DRAM memory chip, the SRAM chip will only be able to retain the contents of its stored power, and speed faster than the DRAM memory chip. This chip is used for fast memory access, such as a computer's CPU.
