TCL flat China global layout has settled the largest base in Wuxi

Yesterday, TCL-Tomson (TTE) to invest in the construction of the flat-panel TV factory opened in Wuxi. TCL Wuxi plant will focus on high-end color TV, next year the base production capacity will reach 6 million units, ranking first in the world. Shi Wanwen expects the next 3 years, the plant output value will exceed RMB 9 billion yuan.

The State Council Development Research Center Director Lu Renbo at the end of August told the "First Financial Daily" said that in 2005, the scale of China flat-panel TV market is about 1 million 500 thousand units. In terms of 6 million production capacity, TTE Wuxi factory flat-panel TVs is clearly not entirely for the domestic market.

Shi Wanwen admits, Wuxi plant will be second only to Huizhou's second largest color TV export base. Although China's large screen LCD TV sales grew 12 times over last year, but the European and American market is more mature, in the first half of 2005, TCL LCD TV in the U.S. market grew by nearly 180% in Europe, nearly $413%. Due to the small sales base in North America, Europe is currently the largest TCL flat-panel TV sales."

However, in Brazil, India, Russia and other emerging markets, TCL flat-panel TVs have no real sense of sales. Shi Wanwen said that the market is still in the flat product popularity, TCL will continue to increase sales efforts.

Shi Wanwen said that the completion of the plant in Wuxi, marking the completion of the layout of the global tablet strategy TTE. The base is put into use, TCL in Chinese will form Shenzhen, Chengdu, Huizhou, Hohhot, Henan, Xinxiang, Nanchang, Wuxi seven production bases, and the five base distribution in Europe, Southeast Asia consists of TTE global production system.
