TSMC again sued SMIC foundry dispute

Reuters reported, TSMC announced Monday, has been sued in the United States in core international infringement of intellectual property rights. TSMC and SMIC are the world's largest manufacturers of Chinese mainland and taiwan.

According to a statement issued by TSMC to the Taiwan stock exchange, the company on the grounds of violation of trade secrets on the International Court of justice on the United States court.

This is the second TSMC second times on the same grounds sued SMIC, the two sides had just reached a settlement last year at the beginning of last year, SMIC agreed to pay $six to TSMC within the next 175 million years.

TSMC said in a statement, "the settlement of international of the core in violation of the two companies reached in 2005, and has been using illegal means, the theft of our commercial secrets", "therefore, we claim through legal means, and requirements (SMIC) suspension (theft of commercial secrets act)."

SMIC declined to comment on the news, but said the company will release a statement later in response.
