Taiwan AU Optronics company invested $50 million to become LED company

Taiwan AU Optronics company, the world's third largest LCD maker, said the board of directors through a NT $1 billion 500 million to set up a production plan for LED backlight display. The move is designed to help companies get LED backlight supply. Analysts point out that new technologies such as the LCD with an energy-saving LED backlight help to enhance the display market and brand PC using LED backlight. AU Optronics the board of directors of the company have passed the cash dividend per share paid NT $2.5 and a 5% interest income from stock in 2007.
