Taiwan January export orders fell 4.27%

According to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) statistics released in February 25th showed that in January 2010, Taiwan received export orders amounted to $30 billion 369 million, a decline of 4.27%, but an increase of 71.81%.

IT/ communications and electronic products are the two largest orders of products, in January, IT/ communications products export orders amounted to $7 billion 559 million, while electronic products in January export orders amounted to $7 billion 421 million.

Taiwan's Ministry also announced the index of industrial production in Taiwan (manufacturing, quarry and mining, construction, electricity / gas / water supply industry), January, Taiwan industrial production index fell 2.37%, but an increase of 69.70%.
