Taiwan LED backlight module manufacturers looking for potential business opportunities

Taiwan backlight module manufacturers such as Forhouse, Coretronic and Radiant Optoelectronics are all involved in the development of LED backlight. Forhouse company expects to obtain customers 7 inch LED backlight module in this month and confirm the delivery was not started in this quarter, according to Forhouse chairman Francis Pan said, the company is also being developed for LED backlight notebook. With the 7 inch LCD panel with LED backlight costs closer to the cost of using CCFL backlight, the industry is expected to LED backlight in the overall 7 inch backlight module market accounted for 30%. Coretronic also said it is developing a LED based projector. Last year, Radiant, the company will be completed in the first half of this year, the development of LED backlight for notebook.

According to market research firm DisplaySearch expects, including Samsung Electronics, LG LCD panel manufacturing, Philips LCD, AU Optronics and Chi Mei optoelectronics and Beijing BOE photoelectric technology company, Toshiba Matsushita display technology company will launch the panel by LED as backlight in 2006.
