Taiwan LED manufacturers raise funds to expand production

In addition to the Taiwan LED manufacturer Epistar has recently raised funds of NT $7 billion 200 million for expansion. Other Taiwan LED manufacturers such as Industry, Acer and I-Chiun Precision are planning to raise funds for expansion.

The company plans to raise 3 billion NT dollars, which are converted into corporate bonds to invest in facilities and equipment. In the second half of 2008, the company expects to gradually improve the surface mount LED capacity of 30-35%.

Despite the lack of productivity that will limit Harvatek's 11 share of revenue, the company will continue to expand its production, raising its monthly output from 2006 to 330 million units in 2007 to 450 million units. The company has recently introduced three new equipment and will start using it this month. Due to the strong demand for surface mount LED, Harvatek plans to issue a value of NT $30 billion for further expansion of the company's bonds and announced the search for 3-4 billion NT cash injection. The company will be completed in January 2008 to raise funds.

Investors estimate Harvatek's revenue will break record in January 2008. Monthly production is expected to increase to 550 million units in the first quarter of 2008.
