Taiwan Wenmao semiconductor Aixtron MOCVD solar cell production order

July 10, 2007, Aixtron company announced its acceptance of the first quarter of this year Taiwan Wenmao semiconductor (WIN Semiconductors) AIX 2600G3 IC to order a set of extension reaction chamber system orders. The development, production of microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) company, is investing in solar cell manufacturing, and to provide the basis for the support of Aixtron's AIX 2600G3 IC MOCVD. The new equipment will be used to develop and prepare three junction solar cells on germanium wafers. Taiwan Wenmao semiconductor company is also the first to recognize ground compound semiconductor solar cell market potential.

Wenmao semiconductor said that the reason to choose the Aixtron MOCVD is a major player in Europe the main market is the extension of solar cell using the Aixtron device's success, the company is very confident of Aixtron equipment in Europe on the record of the solar cell manufacturing. Now, Aixtron's MOCVD device is the ideal choice for efficient, low profile GaAs based solar cell manufacturers. Aixtron said it would continue to invest in the forefront of technology in this field.
