At present, the city has a size of more than more than and 130 enterprises of electronic information products manufacturing, software and information service of more than 100 enterprises, the formation of industry cluster in optoelectronic and electroacoustic devices products, software and service call center based information service industry cluster, formed a relatively complete industrial chain of semiconductor lighting and one-stop supply system is in the forefront of the country.

Xu Liquan said that the current Shandong province is to the construction of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, high-end industry of the Yellow River delta efficient ecological economic zone and the Jiaodong peninsula area, to the construction of the "three zones" as an important part and the frontier city of Weifang has brought great hitherto unknown opportunities and broad development platform.
