According to understand, Tianjin city has built cooperative semiconductor lighting engineering development center, initially completed the LED on the middle and lower reaches of the R & D and industrial layout, increase the key materials of LED and terminal product development, to achieve the monthly key materials of semiconductor lighting of 000 scale. Relying on more than Tianjin Industrial University, Tianjin city group organized 11 units including the Institute of physics, Tianjin University, Tianjin Haibo Photoelectric Technology Co. Ltd., established the research cooperation of Tianjin semiconductor lighting engineering research and development center. Around the semiconductor lighting major projects, the center organized a total of 3 special funds for scientific and technological innovation projects.

Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission introduced, through a combination of research, Tianjin will form a semiconductor lighting industry cluster in Binhai New Area, the final completion of the national semiconductor lighting research and achievements into the base, cultivate backbone enterprises with strong competitiveness of 5 to 10, the annual sales income of 1 billion 500 million to 2 billion yuan.
