NIST was founded in 1901, is mainly responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the national measurement standards, operation and function of our country and national measurement laboratory, and Industrial Technology Research Institute of Measurement Technology Development Center for international metrology conference member institutions.

Taiwan is expected to us 17 in Washington and NIST signed a letter of intent to promote bilateral cooperation in R & D, R & D cooperation to a new milepost; the two sides will light and lighting, color and visual light, biological and imaging and international lighting standards future cooperation in research.

Taiwan said that the cooperation with NIST platform will have strategic cooperation to boost overall rise on both sides of the lighting industry, accelerate the development of industrialization, the deepening of industrial efficiency, and will help the domestic LED industry from the global lighting market.
