Toshiba and Fujitsu denied rumors of semiconductor business cooperation

San San - May 21st, according to Hongkong media reports, the Japanese Toshiba Co and Fujitsu Corporation have denied that the two companies will cooperate in the semiconductor business media reports.

Fujitsu Corporation issued a notice that there is no practical basis for such reports, there is no such a plan; the voice of the Toshiba Co also made a similar statement.

Japan's "Yomiuri Shimbun" reported earlier, Toshiba is considering holding subsidiary of Fujitsu Fujitsu electronics company, Toshiba and Fujitsu have close cooperation, to develop the next generation of semiconductor chip, and a new chip factory. The two sides intend to reach a formal agreement before and after the fall.

Toshiba Co currently produces NAND flash memory chips, which are widely used in portable music players and digital cameras. Fujitsu Corporation's business focus is on large scale integrated circuits used in digital consumer products.
