Toshiba released two new drives for DC LED and high-power DC LED

Toshiba America electronic components company (TAEC) released its two new products light emitting diode driver in the series, namely TB62D701 and TB62771. They will be used in LCD TV, display backlight, regional lighting, signs and traffic lights and other lighting. The invention uses the Toshiba advanced mixed signal submicron silicon technology to integrate the driver and other components on a chip.

The two light-emitting diode driver features integrated DC-DC boost controller and multi power MOSFET to control current. The driver can sense a pulse as low as 500ns, which is only about one percent of the signal at a frequency of 20 khz.

Andrew Burt (TAEC analog imaging business vice president) said, because of its low energy consumption, high luminous characteristics, light-emitting diodes have become the first choice for many lighting applications. Based on the high integration of LEDs and the high efficiency of production technology, our new drive will promote the development of LED based energy-saving lighting.
