Tsinghua University and visionox co research of white OLED devices life over 100 thousand hours

The day before, Vishino (Visionox) announced that the company in cooperation with the Tsinghua University, to achieve new breakthroughs in the life of white OLED devices. The white light OLED devices fabricated by low cost fluorescent materials have a lifetime of more than 100000 hours under the 1000cd/m2 initial brightness, which is more than the best recorded before the industry. The major breakthrough made in the life of white OLED, by researchers from the Tsinghua University and visionox using a new type of composite luminescent layer structure, but also solve the OLED light source screen luminance uniformity problem.

Compared with other light sources, OLED is a plane light source, which can be made into thin and bendable flexible light source and other unique advantages, is a new type of solid-state light source, high environmental protection and safety, and has broad application prospects. White OLED devices are generally divided into two kinds of phosphorescent devices and fluorescent devices. At present, the phosphorescent device has high luminous efficiency, but the stability is poor. Although the efficiency of the fluorescent device is lower than that of the phosphorescent device, the device has a longer life and lower cost. In the study of fluorescent devices, Japan "FPD International 2006" Idemitsu in the forum, announced the white OLED devices in 1000cd/m2 initial brightness, life of 70000 hours.

Tsinghua University has been engaged in the study of OLED project since 1996, 2001 established weixinnuo company, the company focused on OLED technology and industrialization. In 2002, Tsinghua University and visionox company built a pilot production line Chinese, first OLED, and in 2003 the implementation of the OLED module of the production and sale of products. Completely rely on the construction of independent technology in mainland China's first large-scale production line OLED will be officially put into operation in the second half of 2008.
