The United States Department of energy (DOE) semiconductor lighting project team will hold a 90 minute Conference on the semiconductor light source DOE Energy Star (ENERGY STAR) standard for a general overview. The standard was released in September 2007, will take effect on September 30, 2008.
The spokesman will announce the priority strategy and class A (short term) and B (future) application details and product access procedures, testing requirements, quality assurance, and use the equipment manufacturers and the project sponsor information, provide a general view. The conference will focus on the future plan to keep pace with the rapid progress of technology, including the expansion of a class of products, timely improvement of power target value. The standards relate to residential, commercial, industrial and outdoor lighting semiconductor lighting applications, and can guide the future and future product performance.
Background: This is DOE at fourth in semiconductor lighting as the theme of the conference, the first is an overview of DOE five years of semiconductor lighting commercialization support plan (Five-Year SSL Commercialization Support Plan); the second is to promote a wide range of LED technology; the third light performance test room in. Future focus will be LED, LED packaging, light source efficiency and heat treatment and other aspects of economics.
