UMC and beauty semiconductor manufacturers to jointly develop 65 nanometer technology

In order to prepare for the production of the next generation of field programmable gate array (FPGA), bilateral cooperation to develop 65 nanometer wafer prototype, including actual programmable circuit (actual programmable logic circuitry), is now in the south station 12 inch Fab production.

The two sides also announced that the 45 nanometer FPGA is an early research and development. After more than 10 years of cooperation, Xilinx through the mass production of programmable chip, mostly for the 90 nanometer chips.
