Verizon 8 billion sold main wireless broadband telephone line

CNET News International reported in May 11th according to a report in the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday on the website said, Verizon phone company may sell some of its traditional phone lines at the price of US $8 billion in two trading.

The report quoted anonymous sources as saying that the telephone line to Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, together with the value of the transaction may be between 20-30 billion dollars.

The value of another deal involving a telephone line in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and is between $40-50 billion.

Reported that the possibility of the sale of two telephone lines is the company's main wireless and high-speed Internet connection strategy part. Verizon has been providing digital TV services in high-speed Internet connections in parts of New York and California.

According to sources, Verizon is also negotiating with Vodafone, to buy shares of Verizon Wireless 45%.

A Verizon spokesman declined to comment on the news.
