Vishay launched SMD LED lead-free high strength

Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of using lead-free reflow soldering process of high strength SMD LED, these products can directly replace the Vishay device in the TLM series. The new VLM series of devices is mainly used for the following applications: automobile dashboard, radio and switch the indicator lamp and backlight backlight; telecommunication systems, audio and video equipment and office equipment; plane LCD, backlight switch and logo. These super bright VLM LED compatible with lead-free reflow soldering process with JEDEC-STD-020b, and the same with the TLM device specification, which can be quickly and easily replaced by MiniLED (50 MCD), PLCC-2 (240 MCD) and PLCC-4 (1250 MCD) TLM LED package, in order to satisfy the requirements of lead-free soldering. Vishay VLM series LED is divided into light intensity devices in accordance with the same light intensity classification and name as the same kind of LED for automotive applications. In addition to the RoHS, these devices are compatible with CECC 00802 and JEDEC STD-020b specification for reflow soldering, gas welding, and wave soldering processes in IR.
